NEWS
Asst News Director -- Full Time Regular
Responsibilities will be to manage the day to day operations of newsroom including but not limited to: running editorial meetings, assigning reporter stories, story placement, etc. Directly oversee the scheduling of anchors and reporters and approve other schedules as needed. Stay involved with all news operations including Investigations, Special Projects, Weather, Sports, etc. Prevent on-air mistakes, work with reporters to make their stories better, work with desk to improve quality and quality of coverage, take a lead role in breaking news and have a firm grip on local news. Must lead specialized coverage including web streamed events, election & political coverage, and specialty reporting. Must provide consistent feedback to staff and insure newsroom policies for fair/accurate newsgathering are followed. Requires degree in Journalism or related field. 5 yrs broadcast television experience as asst news director or executive producer in major market preferred. Knowledge of production, copy editing, live story coverage, journalism ethics, journalism law, news photography, news tape editing, news equipment, and operations required. Knowledge of multi-platform journalism and social networks is also required. Must have proven track record of success with strong leadership skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential. Must be computer literate with above average proficiency. Ability to lead, coach, and manage is critical.
SALES
VP/General Sales Manager -- Full Time Regular
Responsibilities will include: managing and coordinating the overall sales efforts to achieve station financial goals, overseeing the management of Traffic & Research, inventory control, and implementing/administering revenue goals both locally and nationally. Requires degree in Marketing or related field and minimum 5 yrs broadcast sales experience with minimum 3 yrs of broadcast sales management. Must have proven track record of success including managing digital sales. Must possess exceptional leadership, motivational, managerial, and organizational skills. Must also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
FINANCE
Credit Manager -- Full Time Regular
Maintain A/R to include: application of payments, collection of outstanding balances, granting credit and setting credit limits, invoice maintenance and distribution, account reconciliation between billing system and financial system, enforcing established policies and procedures as they relate to credit and collections, and posting/reconciling the log with Traffic and Sales. Will also be responsible for various reports required for station financial reporting and other duties as assigned. Requires degree in Accounting or related field and minimum 2 yrs experience in corporate credit & collections. Must be self-motivated, extremely organized, and possess excellent Excel spreadsheet skills. Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and ability to interact well with various station personnel. Must be detail oriented with ability to work within strict time parameters.
